Through the years, we have heard the some of the same questions from consumers again and again. We love the enthusiasm for our products and curiosity for how we came to be! Below are some of the most frequently asked questions we see.

What does "OXO" Mean? Does it mean Hugs & Kisses?

Our founder, Sam Farber, loved the letter "O." His clever wife, Betsey, wanted to create a logo that could be read backwards, forwards and upside down. And while we love the connection to "Hugs & Kisses," the similarity was not intentional.

How do I pronounce OXO?

OXO is pronounce "Ox-Oh."

How many employees do you have?

Worldwide, we have 135 employees, but at our New York Headquarters, there are less than 90 employees.

Does OXO support any charitable donations?

Yes. Since 2007, OXO employees have donated their personal time, money and effort in support of Cookies for Kids' Cancer, an organization dedicated to raising funds to support new and improved therapies for pediatric cancer. In 2011, we introduced a formal corporate sponsorship, matching many nationwide efforts to support Cookies for Kids' Cancer. Together with our retailers, consumers and fans, we raised over $750,000 for this worthy cause. This sponsorship continues in 2013. Does OXO have any new products?

Why yes! We launch 50 to 100 new products each year. You can see all of our brand new items here.

What is the "grippy" material on your products?

In order to make our handles comfortable and dishwasher safe, a material called Santoprene is used. Santoprene is a processed rubber with a soft velvety feel that doesn't break down when exposed to kitchen oils. It is dishwasher safe and non-latex. The material works particularly well for the flexible "fins" on our Good Grips handles. The Santoprene material's flexibility allows the fins to bend under pressure and conform to individual finger grips for comfort and control, and since Santoprene is non-slip, that control is maintained even when the handle or hands are wet.

What is OXO's Return Policy?

We guarantee everything we make! If for any reason you are not satisfied with an OXO product, return it for replacement or refund. Please contact OXO's customer service department and we will be happy to assist you.

How Do I Ship to an APO or FPO Address?

Unfortunately we are unable to ship to APO & FPO addresses. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience.
