Meet our First 1% for the Planet Nonprofit Partners

For over 30 years, our products have made every day better around the home. Now, we're giving back to the planet, the place we all call home.

By joining 1% for the Planet we're joining a global community of brands working with environmental nonprofits tackling issues that impact us all.

We looked inward to inspire our giving, pledging 1% of our annual sales to nonprofits focusing on the following areas: sustainable food systems, cleaner air, land and water and environmental education.

Read on for details about our first five nonprofit partners.

Soul Fire Farm

Soul Fire Farm is a Black, Indigenous, and People of Color (BIPOC)-centered community farm committed to ending racism and injustice in the food system. Soul Fire Farm trains the next generation of activist-farmers and strengthens the movements for food sovereignty and community self-determination. OXO will support Soul Fire Farm's programs, including:

  • Youth Food Justice Empowerment Program, teaching farming, harvesting, cooking, and business development skills to urban and formerly incarcerated youth
  • Farming Immersions, weeklong skill-building programs for farmers of color.

The Trust for Public Land

The Trust for Public Land creates parks and protects land for people, ensuring healthy, livable communities for generations to come. They promote land conservation, transform underutilized spaces into accessible parks, create green schoolyards in underserved school districts and preserve local and national trails and greenways. OXO will support The Trust for Public Land by helping to build a green schoolyard for the Cynthia Jenkins Public School in Queens, New York, and engage students and community members while improving air, land and water.
