Are these suppose to be air tight? I’ve purchased a dozen of the pop containers and everything goes stale. While they look great, they don’t keep anything fresh. Is there something I need to do to keep food fresh? For the price I would think these would allow food to have a longer shelf life.
Wow!
I’m a little nervous to use my set of POP containers!
I just bought the 20 piece set last night, and I just moved into my loft, and I want zero clutter.
After reading about how foods go stale quicker in them than their original packaging I’m nervous about keeping them. Honestly, should I return them, instead of using them?
Because, if I use them I cannot return them.
Please give examples for keeping, or returning them.
Maybe I should take them back?
Not sure if it’s worth the expense if you’re trying to preserve your food in a neat and tidy storage system, but said system causes the food you’re trying to keep fresher longer, in an organized way
I have used these containers for over 10 years, probably more, for baking ingredients. They have worked well with no deterioration of contents.
I bought a ton of these containers (at a huge expense) and transferred all my dried foods into them. My new cereal was stale after about 3 weeks, my croutons, almonds, and oatmeal are all stale – and yes, the lids are assembled properly. I see that there are a lot of comments regarding this same issue but there hasn’t been a posted response.
My chips get stale and my cookies go bad. They last longer in their original containers. Why?
I don’t believe you could make this website any more confusing. Why can’t you just list width, depth and height dimensions for each individual container. 2.6 quart means nothing to me as far as dimensions
I am disappointed in the cereal dispensers…my puffed rice cereal got stale while in the container. It doesn’t make sense that it would go stale faster in that container than my previous storage method (folding original bag over and using a clip). The gasket is securely in the lid and the lid is firmly pressed down. Does anyone else have this issue?
The lids disassemble into four pieces: the top with the button, the rubber gasket, the plastic insert, and the piece of plastic which unscrews from the top and to which the rubber gasket attaches. Do you need to wash all four before use or just the latter three?
Recommended size for 2 lb confectioners sugar?
I buy the family size cereal, largest box 19.3 19.6 ounces. What size container would I need.
I wonder why a small square medium container (1.7 QT) is for 12 oz pasta but a slim rectangle short container (1.2 QT) is for 16 oz pasta?
The 2,6 qt. square is shown to hold a 4 lb. bag of sugar. I couldn’t fit a 30 oz. canister of ground coffee.
Confused?
My family loves Oreo cookies. I purchase three to four packages at a time. (I shop once a month). To keep them fresh I’d like to know which pop top I should buy. That would hold maybe all four or at least two at a time.
Thank you.
What are the internal dimensions of the 0.6qt mini rectangle? I only see the external dimensions and I would like to know if a Canadian 1 pound block of butter will fit in it? (Also, for reference, can you also please tell me how thick the lid is?). Thanks!
I purchased the OXO Brown Sugar Saver and cannot attach it to my current lids. Is there an adapter that I need, or perhaps a new type of lid? Please advise.
I wish you could buy the bigger dox sets from either amazon uk or direct from your company.
The sets I would love to buy costs $348.00 but shipping costs $217.00.
Please publish the dimensions of the containers. I don’t want to buy something that doesn’t fit in my cupboards.
I love my set I bought from Costco, but one fell off the shelf and the bottom part cracks so easily! I don’t mind the investment to get organized, but wish for the money they were more durable.
Will the 6 qt hold an 11 lb bag of dry dog food?
Wish they did the big sets for the uk.i have seen them on the Amazon .com site but they dont ship to the uk.
I purchase brown sugar in 2 lb plastic bags. What container would you suggest for that?
I purchased a ton of Oxo Pops and i have 2 out-of box failures 1.1 qt/ .4 L lid and .4 qt/ .4L lid I am not sure how to get them replaced
Is the new system modular enough that you can you stack 4 Mini Square sized tops onto a Big Square Container top or 2 Slim Rectangle onto a Big Square?
I purchased 4 large square POP containers (6 quart) at a retailer and washed them according to your instructions. When we went to put the lids back together and discovered that two of the lids don’t work anymore (we are unable to push the center down. They worked fine before we washed them. Do you sell replacement lids?
I have a new set of containers but can’t figure out how the new lids come apart, they do not have the arrows on them like the old containers do. I hand washed the lid and there is water stuck inside it.
Since OXO plastic containers can not go in the dishwasher, what id the best way to clean them. Soap and hot water does not get everything off. Help.
Thank you for the sizing guide! I have often found it puzzling, and frustrating, that POPs are all sized for liquid measure but are designed and sold to store dry foods. I cannot think of any dry food which is sold by the quart or liter.
I would like to have the U.S. dimensions of the items..Like the Lid A Medium is 6 1/4″ x 6 1/4″ x 9 1/4″ in. W, D, H…
Would you happen to have this guide but in metric for all non-US-based readers? It would be super helpful as when many of us look at our pantries, our bags of ingredients are listed in kilograms, not ounces, for example. Thanks!
Bought a set of canisters from Costco. The were not the quality of the old ones.
Is this how the whole line of canisters is now, or did OXO make a special line just for Costco.
I love these containers and there plenty of perfect sets with a variety of sizes for the USA OXO website but unfortunately there’s no sets for the Australian website. I wish we had atleast 2 different sets to pick from for the Australian website they only come in singles which is really expensive if i want to redo my whole pantry with OXO Pop containers.
Love Oxo pop containers! Thanks for this comprehensive guide!
