How to use your Compact Cold Brew Coffee Maker:

- Align two vertical markings of Brewing Container to prevent leaking, and add 6 oz/175 g of coarsely ground coffee up to coffee bean icon on Brewing Container. If you’re using an OXO Conical Burr Coffee Grinder, this will be 11-15 on the grind setting. We recommend weighing your coffee grinds, but for reference, 10 oz is roughly 3.5 cups.
- Place the rainmaker on the brewing container
- Fill glass carafe with water up to the dot under the OXO logo (the dot indicates 12 oz)
- Pour water through the rainmaker in a circular motion
- Repeat steps 3 & 4
- Remove rainmaker and lightly press down coffee with the back of a spoon to ensure there are no dry spots
- Replace rainmaker, top with lid and place on counter for 12-24 hours or in fridge for 20-24 hours
- Once brewing is finished, place brewing container on top of open glass carafe. Draining will automatically begin. (24 oz of water yields about 16 oz of concentrate)
- To serve, dilute concentrate with hot or cold water or milk to your liking. We recommend 2 oz coffee concentrate to 4- 6 oz water or milk
- Store remaining concentrate in glass carafe with cork lid for up to 14 days in the fridge.

I noticed that the full size cold brewer instructions say to gently stir after adding water, but the compact model specifically says not to stir. The process is otherwise the same, so what’s the thought behind this difference?
I too am having a problem with the red gasket ring. Fell off once and managed to do research to reseat it. But now, it is stretched out and way too large. Cannot get the unit to seal properly. Can you send me a new ring? I’m a big fan of this unit, but this appears (judging by the comments) to be a design flaw.
Can I get a replacement red ring gasket
Can I order a mesh filter that comes with the container? Mine just broke but I can only find the paper filter replacement here.
My device suddenly leaking. I line up the two lines and it doesn’t feel as tight as at did initially. Woke to puddles of coffee. Tried to tighten. Still leaked.
Does this require a filter like your previous cold brew model?
Hi, I love this so much I got two of them. This is far easier to use than the Tod** coffee maker. And, like most OXO products, it feels good in the hand. One is just happy using OXO stuff. BUT… an intermittent issue…. Sometimes it leaks overnight. Last night Everything leaked out, found a gap in the counter tile, and maybe I have a coffee stain on the West side of the house…. I check the red o-ring carefully, check its position, and check the gasket controlled by the spring carefully… make sure everything is clean and dry. But I get these times when it just leaks. And coffee accumulates in the base that holds the filter and main receptacle, which suggests the failure is in the gasket controlled by the spring. Anyone else have this issue? From now on I am going to put it in a big bowl, at least if it leaks I will still have great coffee in the morning.
Hello! I’m using a course ground coffee (6 ounces, weighed) from my local coffee shop and I’m only yielding 10 oz of concentrate from 24 ounces of water.

Where can i purchase more filters? my current one broke by accident.
The compact maker is only yielding 12 oz of concentrate from 24 oz of water. Am I grinding too coarse or too fine?
I took it apart to clean it and now it leaks like crazy. Are there instructions somewhere to show how to put it back together properly?
Great post!
