This beet cashew hummus with garlic tahini yogurt swirl is my make-ahead holiday appetizer this year. No more sad appetizer table! By making each of the components – beet cashew hummus, garlic tahini yogurt, and roasted almond za’atar – in advance, you’ll impress all your guests by effortlessly serving it up on a platter with crackers, pita, and/or veggies soon after they arrive.
Just make in advance and store the components in these smart seal glass round containers in the fridge for a few days until ready to serve.
You can even simplify things further by making the garlic tahini yogurt and roasted almond za’atar straight into the storage containers to save on dishes. For the garlic yogurt tahini, just measure in the yogurt and tahini into the container, press garlic over the top and mix. Use a separate glass round container to toss together the chopped dry roasted almonds with the rest of the za’atar ingredients. Snap on the lid and chill until serving.
When you’re ready to entertain, scoop the beet cashew hummus into your serving bowl, swirl in some garlic tahini yogurt, sprinkle with roasted almond za’atar and it’s ready to eat. You could even serve it up in the glass storage container you stored the beet cashew hummus in to make your life even easier. Holiday-you will thank make-ahead you. Trust me.
