Maraschino cherries aren't just for the cocktails you get at a bar; they're easy to make and store at home. They’re made with Maraschino liqueur and a simple syrup that is spiced with vanilla, cinnamon and nutmeg.

How to Make Maraschino Cherries
- Pit 2 cups of cherries.
- Bring 1/3 cup water, 1/3 cup sugar, 1 cinnamon stick, 1/4 tsp ground nutmeg, 1/2 vanilla bean (scraped), 1 1/2 tbsp lemon juice to a simmer.
- Add pitted cherries and 2/3 cup Luxardo Maraschino Liqueur.
- Stir and simmer for 5 minutes.
- Add cherries and liquid to a sterilized jar. Close and cool.
